11358 TO RECEIVE THE MONTHLY FINANCES

• Cllr G Darington questioned the difference between the income and expenditure for the tennis, as it appeared it was currently running at a loss.
Cllr M Horwood explained the difference is made up by the grant received for the tennis gate, which has been placed under the ‘grants’ section. Therefore the tennis is making a profit for its activities.

• Cllr G Darrington asked what winter plants we are going to be having and where will they be planted.
The CEO confirmed they will be out in due course when the time is right. They will be across the Town Centre just like last year, as this proved popular.

• Cllr M Horwood stated he was pleased the Alexandra Suite has turned a corner and is in profit. He also highlighted that The Olympic Noypichef has released a new menu which should help boost trade.

• Cllr M Horwood also commented that although Swanley Park summer trading is always good, we must be cautious with expenditure over the winter months.

• Cllr G Darrington asked regarding code 7850 (Soft Play) what the cost of £1057.32 was for. RFO confirmed this was for soft toys and inflatables for the toddler area in The Barnyard.

• CEO explained we have started getting charged for white/black bags from Sevenoaks District Council (SDC) and we are now selling these at a loss. It was agreed that District Councillors will take this to SDC to look at costs, and that the CEO may consider increasing the cost of the bags to ensure these charges are passed on.

• RFO confirmed a further SDC CIL payment of £7472.38 is due in the next week.

• Debtors – Chair: Cllr M Horwood said it is fantastic to see nearly all the debts are being promptly resolved and congratulated the RFO.

• RESOLVED – accepted reports A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H/I/J
