Elephant Park Playground

Elephant Park is set in 4 acres of greenery and located in Swanley and runs parallel to the A20. The park is used primarily by locals including mothers and toddlers as well as teenagers. The park is suitable for all ages. There are a small number of facilities available for the general public including: children’s play park and a 5 a side football pitch. The open space is also frequently used by local dog walkers and is available to use all year around with all facilities remaining open.

Our play park at the Elephant Park is suitable for children of many ages. The play park is only small but consists of apparatus such as climbing frames, slides, swings, vortex spinner and a springer. The play area has 5 benches for parents and users to relax on whilst watching children in a safe and secure environment. There is also a bin for any litter that visitors may have situated in the play park. The 5 aside goal was installed as a motive for kids and teenagers to keep active through playing football.

Shrubs, planting and attractive cast iron furniture complete the area which is fenced in on all sides.

The Town Council also provides a number of smaller areas including Westview and Beechenlea Lane.

In addition there are allotments adjacent to Swanley Park which may be rented for a very reasonable sum and at Petham which are managed by a local society.

The Town Council works in partnership with the Highways Department of Sevenoaks District Council and is responsible for all of the grounds maintenance and grass cutting in the majority of open spaces and highway verges.

The Town Council promotes environmental awareness and brightens up the Parish with over 400 hanging baskets and many other floral displays during the spring and summer.
