Bio: I have lived in Swanley for over 15 years and am also a District Councillor. I have been involved with local Councils since 2011, having sat on Sevenoaks District Council and Kent County Council, joining the Town Council in 2016. I work for a major electricity infrastructure provider and prior to that worked for several MPs as their senior caseworker, successfully advocating for constituents on a range of issues. I am proud to have led the defeat of the ‘3000 home Garden Village’ at a District Council meeting in 2017, which would have been a disaster for Swanley’s Green Belt. I am a passionate advocate for our town’s community organisations, and have helped a number of organisations grow with new premises or grants.

Bio: Following my retirement 10 years ago from a long career in the NHS, and with time on my hands, I decided to stand for election as a local councillor. I have served as a Swanley Town and Sevenoaks District Councillor since 2015 representing St Mary’s Ward, where I have lived for 28 years.
I am honoured to have been the Mayor of Swanley five times raising over £15,000 for local charities. As Mayor during the COVID-19 pandemic, I assisted with over 1000 deliveries of food parcels, prescriptions and essential supplies to local residents.
Since that time my focus has been on tackling loneliness and isolation in our community and helping to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of Swanley residents. I run the weekly Every Step Counts gentle walks in Swanley Park on Thursday mornings and facilitate the Mature Movers exercise class for over-55s on Mondays.
I am a Trustee of the community hub at Elim Church in Cherry Avenue and sit on the Swanley Rugby Club committee.

Bio: I have lived in Swanley for 33 years and for many years of my life I worked as a community care worker. I am a member of the West Kent Housing Tenants’ Scrutiny Panel where I challenge the Housing Association on their work for Association Tenants and for our Swanley community. I also volunteer for a local Lions Club, which helps fundraise for good causes in the area.
In 2018 I had surgery which unfortunately rendered me disabled and unable to walk without a stick. I am a passionate advocate for disabled people and feel more needs to be done to improve accessibility around our town, along with improved lighting and CCTV to make people feel safer. I also want to see our local bus services improved to help people access other towns’ facilities.

Bio: I have lived in Swanley for over 45 years and prior to retirement worked as a mortgage consultant.
I have been a Swanley White Oak Ward Councillor since 2019 and have supported residents with many issues, particularly health and well-being matters. I feel very strongly against fly-tipping which spoils our town. It is also important that we protect our precious Green Belt land against unwanted development. Any new homes built must cater for everyone, enabling people to move up the housing ladder without needing to leave the area.
I will continue to fight on behalf of the local community to make Swanley a better place to live in.
