The skies above Swanley Town were filled with colour and music on Friday Night as the 1812 overture played by Eynesford Concert Band and accompanied by a fabulous fire work display thrilled crowds in Swanley Park.
The event provided by Swanley Town Council has become a main feature in the town calendar and talk of a bigger and better event next year is already being discussed.
Organiser Toni Roast said ‘This has been our best event to date and we have more ideas for next year to provide even more things for people to do and enjoy. I am very pleased with the many positive comments from people I have received’.
With around 3000 people attending there was also a 200 strong Rock Choir which started the evening’s entertainment along with stalls, fair rides, Pimms and Prosecco Bar and a BBQ.
Mayor of Swanley Councillor Laurence Ball said ‘It was an absolutely amazing event and we were all very pleased to see so many people attend and enjoy themselves. I am very proud of our staff for having provided such a first class evening of entertainment for local residents’.
The next event in the town calendar is the annual firework display on 6th November 2017 which promises to be equally as entertaining and will include, live music, guy competition and bonfire.
