Last month, Swanley Square, the town’s Shopping Centre, was purchased by Evolve Estates Ltd. The new owners have instructed London Cambridge Properties (LCP) to manage the site.
Immediately, Swanley Town Council sought to connect with the new owners to ensure the residents of the town are at the forefront of conversations.
Off the back of this, we are delighted to report that the new owners have committed to contribute a total of £12,000 annually to ensure the flower and Christmas light displays will continue going forward.
Remarking on the donation, Swanley Town Council’s CEO Ryan Hayman said “I am pleased that the new town centre owners are supporting our award-winning displays which bring joy to so many residents.
This funding is vital to the sustainability of the projects and supporting the town with this donation shows a real willingness to work together for the overall benefit of the town.”
Julian Diamond, LCP head of asset management, said: “We have exciting plans for Swanley which will bring noticeable improvements for our tenants and the local residents.
One key element, which the town council stressed to us, was the provision of more litter bins.
Accordingly, we are committed to replacing and increasing the litter bins within the Centre and will also ensure these are emptied more often!.”
