The Mayor of Swanley Cllr Lesley Dyball makes a Presentation to her Cadet CWO Thomas Longbon

On the 19th June Cadet Warrant Officer Thomas Longbon, from the 593 Air Training Corps, was appointed as the Mayor Cllr Lesley Dyball cadet for 2019-2020.

Thomas has been an Air Training Corps cadet since 2014 and where he has undertaken many activities including First Aid Courses, Assault courses, Battlefield Communications, Battle Management Field Craft and Regional competitions for both the Pentathlon (5 disciplines) and the Decathlon (10 disciplines).

Cllr Dyball said “I am very pleased to offer this very talented young man the position of Mayor’s Cadet for the coming year.

Thomas’s first engagement will be to accompany me at The Armed Forces Day on the 29th June on Swanley Recreation Ground”.

CWO Longbon said “I am honoured to have been chosen as the Mayor’s Cadet for 2019-2020 and look forward to my duties in this new role”.
