Chartway Group have begun works on a new development of 31 Units at the top of North View for West Kent Housing Authority.
Currently demolishing the old units that stood there and this should be completed by end of January/ early Feb. 2017.
Once the demolition is complete a new sewer line is to be installed for the development and will involve a section of the old fence between top of Swanley Park & the development being removed.
A temporary fence will be erected inside the park to allow a tracked machine room to work & manoeuvre.
It is estimated the works to take between 4 to 6 weeks but once completed the temporary fence line will be removed & the site hoarding erected on the existing boundary line.
This is in the wild life zone at the top of the park and STC have assurances that any works required to return the wild bushes after their works are completed will be carried out by Chartway to the council’s satisfaction.
The tree which sits on the boundary line will not be disturbed in any way.
The plan for the development to be completed by mid-2018 and once they remove the site hoarding they will be replacing the section of original fencing removed with new.
