For the safety of the public, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a weight limit prohibiting any vehicle in excess of 7.5 tonnes unladen weight from using the Alice Dean Network Rail bridge on Beechenlea Lane, Swanley.
This order comes into force from 23rd March 2020 and will remain in force for an indefinite period, or until it is safe to remove.
The weight limit has been introduced because the bridge has structural issues which now makes it unsafe for use by heavier vehicles.
The need for the weight limit will continue until such time as bridge repairs can be carried out.
For information regarding this please contact Kent County Council, who will able to assist with the scope of these works.
