How would you spend £80,000?

train in railway station

Survey date extended to 30th August

We have just received confirmation that representatives from GTR will be at Swanley Station between 7.00am and 9.00am on Tuesday 20th August

Around £53 million has been made available for railway stations across the UK as compensation for rail issues in May which saw huge disruptions to passengers.

Swanley Station has been allocated £80,000 for improvements which local residents can put forward as their suggestions by going to: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PassengerBenefitFund

While the survey is a little descriptive there is also an opportunity to put in some ideas of your own.

CEO of Swanley Town Council said ‘this is all very last minute but we want our residents to have a say in the future of their station and what is important to them’.

Only made aware of the survey today the CEO is keen to get the message out to residents now as the initial closing day is 31st July 2019, although an extended deadline of mid August has been suggested by rail organisations.

The Town Council has already asked for improvement which would see disabled access being provided on both sides of the station and is keen to see the station looking much better.
