Great British September Clean

/ / Great British September Clean

Once again Swanley Town Council Staff, Councillors and Residents took to the streets of Swanley with their litter picks and black sacks.

They set about picking up some of the huge amounts of litter that had been dropped.

Students from St Pauls’ School, Swanley Village Residents Association and Swanley Scout Group also got involved in the four-day event.

It took well over an hour to clean up the area around Aldi, the Fire Station and Swanley Link alone!

Lilly Hendry-Lewis who organised the event said: “It’s been a very successful four days and it was great to see the community coming together to keep Swanley looking its best, thank you to everyone who got involved!”

If you are interested in taking part in future litter picks please email Lilly at lhendrylewis@swanleytowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01322 665855.
