Symptom Free Testing

With 24 sites now up and running across Kent and Medway, people who need to leave their home for work or other purposes are encouraged to book a regular COVID test

Vaccine Update

With the COVID vaccination programme gathering pace, as of 12 January 87,554 vaccines have been administered across Kent and Medway. Unfortunately there are people that look to take advantage of such a  positive situation, so the government have launched the attached vaccine fraud campaign. Please remind others the NHS will:

  • NEVER ask for payment – the vaccine is free
  • NEVER ask for your bank details
  • NEVER arrive unannounced at your home to administer the vaccine
  • NEVER ask you to prove your identity by sending copies of personal documents such as your passport

Champions Stories

This week we have heard some brilliant examples of how you have been using your role as a Champion, to both help fight the spread of COVID-19 and support your community. When you are performing these tasks you may think small actions are not important, but lots of little actions add up to a very large difference. These are just a few of the things we have heard this week

  • Some of our clinicians who have signed up as Champions helping to link up COVID treatment pathways across the vast health and social care system
  • Champions working with people with a range of mental health conditions, providing up to date local statistics and information so their service users are more informed about COVID-19
  • Champions converting some of the government messages into different languages and passing this on to their communities who are not confident with English

We would love to hear how you are using your role as a champion, no matter how small you think these actions are, so please drop me a message with anything you have done this week.
