Vulnerable individuals are struggling with IT for a variety of reasons – e.g learning and/or physical difficulty, social, financial or mental health challenges, lack of access to equipment or internet etc.
Mainstream group digital training may not suitable, either in terms of accessibility and equipment, or pace of learning.
Compaid’s specialism is in supporting individuals holistically through a one to one person centred approach.
Compaid provides a blended approach offering remote or face to face sessions (current restrictions allowing) at our fully accessible premises located in Paddock wood or other approved locations.
Referred clients receive an initial triage telephone assessment from our trained staff. This determines the level of support required, identifies clients’ needs and allay concerns or apprehension about training.
Up to eight 1 – 1 sessions (once weekly) will be booked with a dedicated trainer.
The two hour sessions are relaxed in approach, with as many breaks as the client requires.
If the client does not have a laptop or tablet, Compaid can provide a tablet on loan, including a MiFi internet access box preloaded with data.
Focuses include safe use of the internet, setting up and using email accounts, accessing public services and benefits online, job seeking, online shopping, entertainment, social media and general interest.
Authorised referrals (with customer contact phone number) should be sent by email to Val Sprott, Training Services Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org Tel: 07942 180885
